We are moved, aesthetically and intellectually, by the concept of white space. Also called negative space, the term is used across disciplines to represent the portion of a page left unmarked. It is the space between graphics, columns, lines, or objects. In poetry, it is the space on the page between words. In design, it is the delicate balance between the use of positive and negative space, the ultimate key to harmonious aesthetic composition. We are inspired by the possibilities at a project’s start, the thrill of resolving a design question, the whispered promise of a physical space in its in-between phase. Our interiors are imbued with this harmony of white space and reverence for luxury design.
